The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe saw their bid to halt work on the four-state Dakota Access oil pipeline near their North Dakota reservation get denied. A federal judge put an end to their request Friday to challenge the Army Corps of Engineers' decision to grant permits at more than 200 water crossings for Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners' $3.8 billion pipeline. The tribe alleges the project violates several federal laws and will harm water supplies.
